After extensive research in which lab technicians were asked what they needed in a production mill, the DWX-51D was developed to enhance user experience, maximize ease-of-use and improve output quality. Built with a simple and modern design, the DWX-51D looks as effortless as it operates.
The DWX-52D is a smooth and steady ball screw-driven machine capable of milling complex restorations. It operates on X,Y, and Z axes – simultaneously rotating blocks and discs. Tilting on the B axis it supports deep undercuts and the complex milling of large arch restorations and other full-mouth prosthetics.
Load the included brush tool into the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) and set-it-up to automatically sweep away zirconia dust and other debris for a cleaner milling surface. The DWX-52D Plus also features an internal auto-start dust collection system to maintain a clean machine, and an ionizer to reduce static when milling PMMA.
A new Snap-In Clamp System for disc changing includes six material adapters and offers a fast and secure set-up—eliminating mounting errors and minimizing damage during disc insertion. With the Snap-In Clamp System, reinserted material adaptors keep discs indexed to their original position for production that requires secondary milling or two-stage processing. In addition, the DWX-52D features built-in storage drawers and an included disc adapter rack to ensure a highly organized and efficient workspace.The Snap-In Clamp System enables multi-device adapter integration. The same material adapters can be used on the DWX-52D Plus, DWX-52DC and DWX-52DCi for a convenient and scalable milling solution.
The DWX-52D doesn’t tie users to a specific software or proprietary control source. Users have the freedom to work with their choice of the latest CAD/CAM software, scanners and materials.
A feature of the simplified VPanel operation is an Intelligent Tool Control (ITC) function that instinctively swaps out tools directly from their position when they have reached their user-defined lifespan with a designated “partner tool” without needing to pause production. The ITC has been updated for the DWX-52D to allow for user-defined setup– users can now assign burs in any figuration they want in the Automatic Tool Changer (ATC).
The DWX-52D provides continuous milling with a 15-station Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) and auto-adjusted air pressure that automatically switches to the right air volume in response to the CAM software material data. Other enhanced features include automatic dust collection when opening the front cover to keep dust away from your lab surfaces and to support a clean and healthy environment.
